the longer i look at this piece, the more little faces in the shadows pop out at me. i love things like this...it's like reading a book- in a way- and i am sure even more captivating in person than on my monitor. The colors i love, because they are vibrant, but not flashy and distracting. kind of like a really beautiful sunset, but dirty. The colors, when paired with the glass shards make me think of flames licking at this torso. i think the strongest point in this piece is that it seems to hold such a story, and perhaps more importantly, it allows the audience to imagine their own story.
