painted denim

For quite some time now I have been using the top part of the blue jeans to make purses so now I have this pils of legs sitting around. So I cut them into fronts and backs and gessoed them. After the gesso dried they felt like canvas. So I went to work on them with acrylic paint, crayons, & Jacquard Tee Juice pens. Now that they are dry they are very stiff and I think will make really good book covers, wallets, or just about anything that canvas would be used for. Fun!!
