The C Gallery Opening!!!

The C Gallery opening was last night and it was a huge success! Within 20 minutes of opening I sold one of the Piston People!! Lots of people came to the reception and everyone seemed to like the Piston People. Many were amazed that they were made by a woman. They are going to be at The C Gallery in Los Alamos until May 8. If you have a happen to be in the area stop by and meet them! I was in fine company with Judy Chapel's fabulous Colossal Collages. Such an honor to be there with her.

 Chatting with potential buyers.  The woman with the hat was from Russia and was stunned that a woman made the Piston People.  It was very funny to see the reactions from people when they realized that I was the one that created them.

 Jessy (my future daughter in law) and her mother Pam came to support me too!  So nice of them to be there.

 The Piston People's debut public appearance.

 This is Sparky and he sold within the first 20 minutes of the doors opening.  A woman's husband fell in love with him and she wanted to get it for his birthday!  Sparky will have a new home when the show closes.

And finally the dress I made for the show.  It is the same pattern as the one I have on at the reception.  This pattern works so well with all kinds of fabrics.  Here it is in rayon and silk.
