I am almost done with the rag rug. Just need to finish the middle part, then it comes off the loom. This has been a very very fun project and I will make more when this one is done.
for the warp you need about 2 yards of fabric cut into 1.5-2 inch strips. For the weaving you need about 12-14 yards of fabric cut the same width. For the warp I dyed a white sheet pink and used that. For the weft I used about 3-4 different fabrics. I got the loom from Country Threads at a quilt show. www.countrythreads.com

how much fabric do you think it took to make this piece? How wide are the strips? how big is the completed rug?
