Once upon a time there lived a chair
It was much loved by animals with hair;
On it they slept both day and night
Loving the chair so much it became a fright;
Out to the garage it did go
Where stuff was piled both high and low;
Then there came the fateful day
when the man said "this chair must go away";
The woman looked the chair up and down
and knew there was something else there to be found;
She pulled out the paints and brushes they flew
she patched up the loved spots with fabric and glue;
The man was agast, he asked "what are you doing,
with all this painting and brushing and glueing?"
I'm reclaiming the chair the woman did say
You cannot take my chair and make it go away;
I've given the chair a new life if you will
And this chair I tell you is no run of the mill;
This chair she is special, a one of a kind
It has a new look both in front and behind;
So my friend when you sit in this so special chair
think of the woman that painted it with care
Remember the animals with all of that hair
who made this all possible for it to be there.
