The Voices in My Head

I made this piece to be submitted to the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission's upcoming show I Can See Your Tag: Portraits!. The work should reflect an inner look at the person depicted and reveal something about the person emotionally, an inside/outside view. Thus, I came up with the idea of depicting all the voices in my head. It can be quite noisy in there at times. I have submitted the JPEG and should know by Nov 12 if it has been accepted.

gourds

Jerry and I have been playing with gourds! The lizard coming out of the egg is Jerry's creation and it is fabulous in person. The other two are mine. These were fun mediums to play with!

birthday week

This week was birthday week for both of the boys. They are 11 years and two days apart. last night we had birthday dinner at home for them. Scott is on the right, kyle on the left.

And the beauty on the right is Scott's wonderful wife Angela. She is such a welcome member of our family

web in my garden

This web is on my back patio this morning. It is more than a foot across with long arms going up to the covered patio and reaching over to the mexican sage. It is stunningly beautiful. I only wish the spider had been in the middle of it when I took the picture. It would be amazing to watch her spinning this thing of beauty.
