MAX!!!

Max the wonder horse if finally finished!!! Max was one of those wonder horses that children have when they are little, it had springs on the sides and sat in a metal frame work thingy and went back and forth when the child sat on it. Kyle, who is now 16, had one that I saved for just this purpose. Ok, so it takes me awhile to actually get around to doing it but I had it and finally did it and that is what counts, right? And I saved a pole from his swing set. Jerry drilled a hole in the middle of Max, didn't hurt much at all and there was no blood, and inserted and secured the pole. He mounted Max on the back patio so I could work on him under cover. He has been painted, mirrored, sparkled and just plain dolled up.

He is sitting on a metal fence post and can swing around. Max is installed in our back yard up on the hill where the mirrors on his saddle will catch the light.

More dying of fabric

I got out there early this morning and hung this piece up to paint the dry on. The wind has been so horrible here that I had to start early or there was no way that I would have been able to do it. This is a yard and a half piece. Along with the other piece that I dyed I am going to make a jacket to go with the pants that I made of the blue on the back of the pants and purple on the front material. That is the pants are purple on the front and blue on the back. Whatever. This is outside drying now so hopefully I will be able to wash it tomorrow and cut it out.

painted path!!

The path is finally done. All painted and mosaiced. When I go to Home Depot I always look at their "Oops" paint and see if there are any colors that I need. I don't care what kind of paint it is, I just look at the colors. Doing this I have acquired a cabinet of Oops paint if a ton of colors and I just go into there when I want to paint something.....like the bricks in the path. The open work bricks were looking a bit lonley so I put grout into them and stuck pieces of "stuff" into the grout.
