yaya's
These wonderful women are my yaya's. From the left, Prudy, Anne, her mother Alice Dean and Caryn at the far right. I am in the middle. These are the women that I can be myself with. There is no pretense, no one upmanship. A few times a year we all get together and do a road trip. Usually there is a destination - rubber stamp convention, fiberfest - but along the way there is much merriment. We eat, drink, shop and laugh until we pee our pants. I am so very fortunate to have these women in my life. They are my sisters, my friends, my family and I love each of them so much.

Home from vacation!!
After two wonderful, long, fun weeks on the road we are finally home. We were able to spend time with Jerry's family and visit with people we hadn't seen in a long time. Last year when we were there Randy and Cathy had just gotten Harley Roscoe and he was this cute little puppy with lots of extra skin to grow into. Now he is a year old and a huge puppy with lots of extra skin to grow into. He is such fun to be with. We fished, swam and boated in Lake Pend Orille. Went into Sand Point and had lunch at Echerts which I highly recommend if you are there. We drove through beautiful green country side filled with forest. Such a difference from the brown that California is experiencing now. And the price of gas is so much cheaper up there. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously while on vacation but it sure was good to get home. Dorothy was right "there's no place like home."
We dined on fresh caught shrimp and prawns. There is just something very wonderful about sitting down to eat with friends and family and simply eating with your hands.
This street performer caught my eye while we were wondering around. I loved his guitars and clothing.
Meet Harley Roscoe. He is not yet one year old and almost 100 pounds and is the child of Jerry's twin brother Randy and his delightful wife Cathy. He is a very well behaved and loving dog........don't tell them but he almost came home with us.
Harley runs at full speed and jumps into your lap when you are in the recliner. He truly thinks he is a lap dog.
Jerry and I took the boat out one afternoon and gazed at all the summer homes along the shore. These people have more money than they need. 3-4 story homes over looking the lake with they yahts at the dock along with the ski boats and jet skis. And these homes are only for the summer. We saw one little cabin that was not very well kept for sale and inquired......1.5 million. I don't think so.
We dined on fish while at the lake. kyle caught lots and lots of small mouth bass. I wrapped them in foil with lemon and herbs and wine and put them on the grill to pouch. They were wonderful.
Kyle played lumber jack while we were at the lake and split a whole bunch of wood for Bob and Nancy. The scary part was that he really enjoyed it. I can't get him to pick up his room but they can get him to split wood....go figure.
