terrific birthday

It was my birthday yesterday - 52!!! Jerry made a chicken tamale cassarole on Saturday night and Mahogany Cake. Both were wonderful. I spent saturday with my girlfriends at a quilt show and a wonderful lunch. Sunday the girls and I went to a play at the Clarke Center, Noises Off. Very funny. Yesterday Angela and Scott took me to lunch and last night we all went to have sushi. Apparently I spend birthdays eating. It was a great birthday and in the mail yesterday I received this birthday ball. It says "It's your birthday, have a ball". It is from my friend Ann O'Neil and really made me smile when I saw it.

I have been playing with a pattern a friend gave me. So far I have two of the cats finished but an entire litter of them cut out. Will post the photos as they are finished.

Chicken Pin Cushions

I just finished an entire flock of chicken pin cushions!!! These will go into the stash of stuff to sell at the Open Studios Tour.

new bedroom

I have moved my studio upstairs and the bedroom downstairs! Here are photos of the new bedroom. This was the original bedroom that I used when I moved into the house 33 years ago. And moving my studio upstairs was and still is a nightmare. Where did all this stuff come from? I threw away tons, found things I had completely forgotten about and kept asking myself "Why do I have this?" I'm very happy with the way the bedroom turned out. Now I am unpacking boxes and boxes of "stuff" and trying to find places for it all upstairs. This may go on for the rest of my life. sheesh
